ELS launches new event production facility to mark 10 years in the entertainment industry

On Friday 29th March, event production company, ELS marked 10 years in business by opening their new warehouse and demonstration studio to the public. This permanent fixture based in the new Cronkbourne Business Park, Braddan provides the team with a modern facility for storing, prepping and demonstrating their production rental equipment and will shortly boast a new digital audio recording studio. The facility can also be used for the recording of music videos, and pre-event design and visualisation for the entertainment, architectural and commercial sectors utilising the very latest digital lighting design software.

Directors Justin McMullin and Ricky Rooney used the event to announce their new rebrand from Event Lighting Services to ELS which signifies the businesses transition from a lighting rental company to a full turnkey event production company offering the very latest in lighting, sound and special effects equipment as well as indoor and outdoor stages & the Islands largest LED screen. ELS also own and operate the Island’s only Outdoor Cinema experience under their “Ultimate Productions” brand.

ELS were joined by friends from Production Services Ireland, UK lighting rental firm HSL Group, KV2 Audio and GDS who have all supplied the business with innovative, high quality solutions enabling ELS to deliver events with a production value on par with world leading suppliers.

Justin McMullin commented: “We have and will continue to invest a huge amount of our profits into the continued expansion of our equipment portfolio. It’s imperative that we try and stay ahead of the game and have the latest and most up-to-date event tech available on Island for our ever-growing event market. Our new facility allows us to finally show off some of our new toys to prospective clients and also enhances our crew’s operational knowledge of the equipment as they can get hands on it more often and keep their technical skills up. It’s a fantastic new facility and we have some really exciting new plans in the pipeline”.

At a private event on Friday at their new facility, over 100 invited guests enjoyed the sounds of up and coming singer songwriter Mae Challis, whose band made their debut at the event. The band features Mark Brabbs on drums, Robbie Sampson on electric guitar and Simon Stuart on acoustic guitar and vocals.

The demonstration studio was opened to the public on Saturday 30th March with an Open Day which saw local talent Glory Years, Hamish Faragher and The Tides use the facilities.

Justin added: “The demonstration studio is now operational and will be used for a whole host of planned projects. We’ve already had Bloom creative in the studio shooting a music video for local band “Glory Years”. It’s a great space and the fact that we already have an abundance of lighting and sound kit means that Producers and artists don’t need to hire in additional equipment”. I’d like to thank Simon and his team at HSL, Richard and all of his team at GDS and also Tom at KV2 Audio for their continued support and for helping make a launch that little bit more special.
